因為地點孤立，克利特島上的文化發展得和同時期大陸上的文化很不一樣。他們崇拜代表生產力的蛇女神。他們的男人像是孔雀，用裝飾多的服裝來展現魅力，吸引比他們層級高的女性。

很有趣的是，他們的服裝會讓人聯想到1880年代女裝的臀墊形狀。

Because of their isolated location, the cultures developed on the island of Crete are very different from their contemporaries on the mainlands. The islanders worship the snake goddess, who symbolizes fertility, and their men are the peacocks, displaying their beauty with their decorative costumes so as to attract their superior women.

It's interesting how their clothing bring to mind the body shape of the women of the 1880s, when the bustles were popular.
